By calling the Get method to retrieve all TEntity entities order defined by TOrderingCriteria and then picking the first of them, this inversion control method handles the request to obtain the first entity from the underlying data store.

Return Value

The first TEntity in compliance with the TFilteringCriteria, obtained from the underlying data store, or null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) if none exists.
